  • Dominant at Sandown...
  • Stormed to Whilton Mill victory...
  • Whilton Mill 2nd place...
  • Another of the vast GMS fleet...
  • X30s ready for battle...

The 2nd and 3rd rounds of the OEKC endurance series saw more dominance at the hands of the GMS supplied teams and their X30 chassis. After the rain that greeted the drivers at Round 1, both events saw good conditions and a high pace of racing throughout.

At Daytona, it was Team Specsavers who took a dominant win, followed home by the JxJ and Vivo SS squads to complete and all X30 podium. Regular driver Andrew Cole was unavailable for the event, so Specsavers found a substitute in the form of GMS team leader, Dave Griffiths.

At Whilton Mill, Specsavers and Vivo SS raced into an early lead, with other squads including Team Kartmasters and GMS A Team in close pursuit. With 15 minutes to go, it looked as though another victory for the No. 1 kart was secured, though an off road excursion and emergency pit stop pushed them off the podium leaving Team BOX Tech to take their first win of the year, followed home by team SCJ goods to complete a 1-2 finish for the X30 chassis.
